What We Do

NS

Short films for festivals, clients, and our own slate — character-driven work, shot with the same care as a feature.

MV

Narrative and performance videos for artists and labels, shot on Super 16 and Super 8 when the song calls for it.

BR

Brand & Commercial Films

Product films, brand campaigns, and commercial content — from small NYC businesses to national brands — for anyone who wants their video to look like filmmaking, not a template.

DOC

Documentaries

Character-driven documentary work, from short brand documentaries to independent long-form projects.

Alexa Mini and Cooke S4/i prime package available with DP, for productions and agencies who need cinema-grade capture without owning the kit.

Who We Are

Nicholas Scafidi
Producer

Nicholas Scafidi

Nicholas spent five years working on studio productions for Netflix, Focus Features, ABC, and NBC before co-founding Soi5. As producer, he puts each project together — hiring crew, building the budget, and running things from the first client call through delivery.

Katerina Olkhovaya
Director of Photography

Katerina Olkhovaya

Katerina's eye for cinematography began with documentary work, traveling and filming in different parts of the world to study how light shifts with place. Her belief that we experience story non-verbally drives her approach behind the camera — helping audiences not just watch, but see and feel a film through imagery. Her work spans narrative, music videos, and documentary, including a recent project filmed in Uganda. More at camerakat.com.
